To
enhance international economic cooperation and promote trade,
KCCI has established Bilateral Economic Cooperation Committees
with 42 nations.
Each committee holds a meeting with its foreign counterpart
to provide Korean and foreign businessmen with an opportunity
to discuss trade, investments, technology and other issues.
Participants examine bilateral economic relations, identify
problems, formulate solutions, and explore cooperative undertakings.
KCCI has also exchanged protocols of cooperation with a total
of 80 countries around the world |
 |
There
is nothing that cannot be solved through dialogue. KCCI organizes
various functions to allow distinguished figures from abroad,
such as heads of state, ministers and leading businessmen, to
meet with Korean business leaders.
These meetings enhance mutual understanding and provide a forum
for an exchange of views on economic cooperation and other matters
of mutual concern. |
 |
KCCI
provides support for foreign trade delegations so that they
can achieve their objectives in Korea. KCCI provides a wide
range of services by arranging their meeting with Korean
manufacturers and traders, and hosting seminars on investment
so that they can make the visits more efficient and productive.

In
a world where countries are becoming interdependent, the role
of international organizations increases furthermore.
In this regard, KCCI is participating in events hosted by
international organizations on behalf of the Korean business
community.
To begin with, KCCI participates as a member to the world's
largest non-governmental economic organization, the International
Chamber of Commerce(ICC),
and also to the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce
and Industry(CACCI). With respect to the above-mentioned membership,
KCCI established the Korea National Committee of the ICC in
1959, to convey the Korean position in formulating ICC policies
and recommendations.
As a member of CACCI that seeks to promote economic cooperation
and exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region, KCCI is carrying out
activities in many fields including trade, investment, human
resources development and so on. Also, KCCI is maintaining
a close relationship with numerous international economic organizations
working to promote the common prosperity of the world community,
such as United Nations Development Programme(UNDP). |
 |
KCCI
explores new trade and investment opportunities by dispatching
trade missions and market survey teams to a number of foreign
countries every year.
In particular, as interest in overseas investment grows among
Koreans, KCCI is often sending out business delegations to investigate
investment climate abroad. |
 |
KCCI receives thousands of inquiries
by foreign companies who are looking for trading partners in
Korea, such as manufacturers, exporters and potential buyers.
Such overseas inquiries are introduced to Korean companies
through KCCI websites. KCCI is also providing
information on Korean companies to foreign companies so that
they can contact Korean companies directly. Moreover, KCCI
is providing on the spot consulting service to foreign visitors
on issues of trade and investment. |
 |
| As a only authorized organization in Korea to certify trade documents KCCI issues certificates that are mandatory for
import-export transactions to its members. As for the certificates
of origin, the number of issuance reaches several hundred thousand
cases every year. KCCI also helps its member companies that
travel overseas by issuing ATA Carnets for trade samples and
exhibits to facilitate customs clearance. |
