Membership

KCCI Membership

There are two types of membership at the KCCI.

Regular Membership

District chambers of commerce and industry become regular members of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry according to the law of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Special Membership

Non-profit institutions, federations of non-profit organizations, and business associations of each business type whose business is related with commerce and industry can obtain membership of the KCCI as a special member.


KCCI has 73 regular members (local chambers) and 105 special members.

Local Chamber Membership

There are 4 types of membership at the district chambers of commerce and industry.

Ex officio Membership

Businesses whose net sales is greater than the amount specified in the law of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and enforcement ordinance become ex-officio members of the chamber of commerce and industry in their respective districts.
Net sales standards (biannual) for ex officio members for each business district are 17 billion won in Seoul Metropolitan City, 5 billion won in the other 6 metropolitan cities, and 2.5 billion won in cities and county districts.

Voluntary Membership

Corporations that are not ex-officio members can register as members of the chamber of commerce and industry.

Special Membership

Non-profit corporation or institution whose operations are related to that of commerce and industry can register as a special member.

Associate Membership

Businesses that wish to participate in the programs or use the facilities of the chamber of commerce and industry without registering as a member can become associate members.


Currently, the total number of members of the 73 chambers around the country is about 180,000.
